Adding Pictures to Articles PDF Print E-mail

This guide is specifically for adding a small amount of pictures to articles. If you would like to upload a large amount, please see our gallery guide.

This guide assumes you already know how to login and add articles.

Preparing Your Images

Before you upload your images, there is some minor preparation work that we recommend. First off, your images must be either .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .png. These are the main picture formats of the internet. We recommend .jpg if you have a choice, but it's not terribly important.

If it's possible, resize your images to how big you want them to appear on the website. You can also do this via the site's article editor one you've uploaded them, but it won't decrease the filesize and sometimes can distort the image.

Upload Your Images

Once editing or creating an article, click the "Image" button at the bottom-left of the text box. This will open a small window in the center of your screen. In the "Upload" section at the bottom of the window, select the file you want to upload and click "Start Upload". Once your image has been uploaded, select it and click the "Insert" button at the top right hand corner of the window. You should now be able to move and resize the image in a fashion similar to that of most word processing programs.
